Unit12 loans prom dresses free of charge

It’s that time of year where Year 11 and upper 6th students are studying for exams but also starting to think ‘what will I wear to prom’. It can also be a time that parents think ‘how much for a dress!’ and it can soon become very expensive. Unit12 recognises the importance of prom but also the strain it can put on family finances, we also recognise that often dresses are worn just once and discarded.

Every year we put on several open prom events for families in the community to come and choose an outfit. This years first event is March 4th 4pm-6pm. If you can’t make this event, dont worry we will host another in April, or you can email to make a private appointment

We have lots of dresses in every colour, shape, size and style and almost as many suits for the boys. Why not come along take a look and borrow a dress, all we ask is that you return it so it can be used again.

Unit12 would like to say thankyou to everyone who comes together to make this event work, volunteers who give up their time, those who donate dresses and suits and obviously those that get to wear and enjoy them
