Congratulations Steph
Congratulations to Steph who has been awarded the Mayors Community award. Steph has volunteered at Unit12s Community Pantry since it started in 2020, she is the longest serving volunteer in the whole Unit.
Steph can usually be found in the pantry on Tuesdays or Fridays, but she also works quietly behind the scenes in the clothing pantry and raising funds. If we have any fundraising events that requires organising things she’s our person!
We can’t run the community pantry without an army of volunteers like Steph who give up their time week after week.
Special mention also goes to Riley Mattock who gives up his time to help the pantry during school holidays. He was nomnated by his school for his kindness and willingness to help others. Tony Winterton from Home Instead who has been key to Unit12’s Memory Lane cafe, he had multiple nominations for his work in the older peoples community within the city. Peter Brown from Winnall Rock school who has been a familiar face around Unit 12 for many years.
Congratulations to all, very well deserved.
